Insulation Equals Comfort

A Well-insulated House Is A More Comfortable One

Is your home cold in the winter and hot in the summer? Is the temperature upstairs different from the temperature downstairs? Insulating your home will help keep the temperature consistent throughout your home and more comfortable. Insulation holds in heat in cold weather and keeps it cool when the weather is hot.

Insulation & Ventilation

Insulation and ventilation work in unison to make your home comfortable. Ventilation plays the role of dissipating unwanted attic moisture during the winter, and hot air during the summer. Since warm air rises, bents are placed in areas on the rooftop to let in fresh air, along the ridge of the roof or in the gables to let warm air escape. It is recomended that you allow two vent openings for proper air flow.

Ventilation is especially nessecary in unused attics where insulation has been added to prevent heat from leaking out of the rooms underneath the attic in the winter. Ensure you have adequate ventilation so you don’t capture moisture indoors.

Controlling Noise

Fiber glass insulation is efficient at reducing a variety of unwanted sounds from appliances, home theatres, stereos, and ventilation systems. By installing insulation in some or all of the interior walls, ceilings and floors of your home, you may benefit in such ways as increased peace and quiet, and higher resale value of your home.

You can achieve higher results by insulating heating and air conditioning ducts, and water pipes. Metal ducts may also be wrapped in insulation, or you can install rigid fiberglass insulation duct board. These methods also aid in reducing noise inside your home.
